What This Policy Covers

This policy explains how AvCalc handles information when you use the AvCalc iPhone app or visit avcalc.app.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. You do not need to register for AvCalc. If you contact support, we receive the email address, message, and any information you choose to include.

Support diagnostics. When you use the in-app feedback button, AvCalc prepares an email that may include app version, bundle identifier, iOS version, device model, hardware identifier, locale, region, time zone, preferred languages, and purchase/trial status. You can review and edit the email before sending it.

Data stored on your device. AvCalc stores app settings, onboarding state, calculator inputs, saved and recent calculations, aircraft profiles, and trial state locally on your device. This information is not sent to our servers.

Purchase information. AvCalc uses Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat to provide, validate, restore, and manage in-app purchases. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase history, receipts or transaction information, anonymous app user identifiers, and technical information needed to operate purchases.

Maps and review links. AvCalc uses Apple MapKit for map-based navigation tools. You manually enter or pick coordinates; AvCalc does not request access to your current location. AvCalc may also contact Apple's public App Store lookup service with the app bundle identifier and country code to open the review page.

Website information. avcalc.app is a static website and does not intentionally set tracking cookies. The website host may process ordinary server log data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and request time to deliver and protect the site.

How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to:

• operate AvCalc and preserve your local app state;
• provide, validate, restore, and manage purchases;
• respond to support requests and diagnose issues you report;
• open App Store review and purchase-management flows; and
• maintain, protect, and improve the app and website.

Sharing Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed with service providers that help operate AvCalc, including Apple for App Store, StoreKit, MapKit, and email services, RevenueCat for purchase management, website hosting providers, and legal or safety authorities if required by law or necessary to protect rights, security, or users. Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies apply to their own processing.

Retention

Information stored locally in AvCalc remains on your device until you delete it, reset local data where available, or uninstall the app. Support emails are retained as long as reasonably needed to handle your request and maintain business records. Purchase records are retained by Apple, RevenueCat, and us as needed to provide purchases, restore access, prevent abuse, and satisfy legal or accounting obligations. Website logs are retained according to the hosting provider's operational practices.

Your Choices and Rights

You can edit support emails before sending them, delete local app data by using the available reset controls or uninstalling the app, and manage or restore purchases through the app and App Store. You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and identity verification.

Children

AvCalc is not directed to children. If you are under the age where parental consent is required in your jurisdiction, use AvCalc only with the permission and involvement of a parent or guardian.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information we handle, but no app, website, email, or online service can guarantee absolute security. You use AvCalc and send information to us at your own risk.

International Users

AvCalc may be used from different countries. Information processed by us or our service providers may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
